OECD REGULATORY POLICY OUTLOOK REPORT 2015 – DECISION MAKING PROCESS IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR CONFERENCE

Argüden Governance Academy and TÜSİAD (the Turkish Industry & Business Association) launched the “OECD Regulatory Policy Outlook Report 2015 – Decision Making Process in the Public Sector Conference” in İstanbul. In the Conference, the positive impact of evidence based policy making process that incorporates stakeholder engagement and regulatory impact assessments on quality of life, was emphasized. 

In the Conference, Cansen Başaran-Symes, the President of TÜSİAD and Prof. Dr. Metin Çakmakçı, Chairman of Argüden Governance Academy made the opening remarks. Nick Malyshev (Head of OECD Regulatory Policy Division and Advisory Council Member of Argüden Governance Academy), Prof. Dr. Ersin Kalaycıoğlu (Professor of Sabancı University Faculty of Art and Social Sciences) and Dr. Erkin Erimez  (Academic Board Member of Argüden Governance Academy) introduced the OECD Regulatory Policy Outlook 2015 Report.  The Conference was concluded with a panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Yılmaz Argüden (Founder of Argüden Governance Academy), with Prof. Dr. Muhittin Acar (Professor of Hacettepe University), Dr. Emin Dedeoğlu (Director of the Governance Studies in TEPAV), and Eray Akdağ (Permanent Ankara Representative of TÜSİAD), on how the quality of regulatory policy cycle effects the quality of life for the citizens. 

In the Conference, 2 latest publications of the Argüden Governance Academy was shared with readers: “Quality of Regulatory Policy and Quality of Life” (Kamu Düzenleme Kalitesi ve Yaşam Düzeyi) is authored by Dr. Erkin Erimez and Prof. Dr. Ersin Kalaycıoğlu. The book is a summary translation and analysis of the OECD Regulatory Policy Outlook 2015, which was originally published in English and French.  "Quality of Regulatory Policy and Quality of Life: A Methodological Note" is a translation of Prof. Dr. Ersin Kalaycıoğlu's article on the OECD Regulatory Policy Outlook 2015 Report.
