Sanjay Pradhan

Sanjay Pradhan is President of the World Forum for Ethics in Business (WFEB), where he is leading a global movement to scale ethical and socially responsible business. Under his leadership, WFEB is advancing three frontier initiatives: Ethics of AI, Regenerative Business beyond Net Zero, and Fighting Corruption, while convening leaders from business, government, and civil society in high-level global summits and national forums worldwide.

Previously, Sanjay served as CEO of the 77-country Open Government Partnership (OGP) from 2016–2025. He led OGP’s policy dialogue with heads of state, ministers, and civil society leaders, and served as OGP’s principal global spokesperson. He continues to serve as OGP Global Ambassador.

Before OGP, Sanjay spent over two decades at the World Bank, including eight years as Vice President in multiple portfolios: Vice President for Leadership, Learning and Innovation; Vice President of the World Bank Institute; and the Bank’s first Director for Governance.

A globally recognized leader on ethics, governance, and anticorruption, Sanjay has spoken at the UN General Assembly, the European Parliament, the World Economic Forum, and delivered a widely viewed TED Talk

Sanjay holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics and a Bachelor’s degree, both from Harvard University.
