The Act Human Human Development Summit, organized by the Human Development Foundation (İNGEV), took place on January 25, 2017 at Istanbul Swissotel. Within the scope of the summit, nearly 600 people from different fields of public, private sector and civil society came together.
Human development ranking of districts in Türkiye
The results of the Human Development Index-Districts (HDI-D) research carried out by INGEV to determine the human development level of districts in Türkiye were also shared with the participants at the summit. The research districts, which cover the 150 districts with the highest population within the provincial borders of 30 big cities in Türkiye, were ranked according to an index score obtained by measuring 50 indicators related to governance, social inclusion, economic status, education, health, social life, environment and transportation. .
As a result of the research, 18 of the 150 districts were found to have a very high level of human development, the districts identified were as follows: Çankaya, Kadıköy, Beşiktaş, Muratpaşa, Odunpazarı, Nilüfer, Yenimahalle, İzmit, Beyoğlu, Bakırköy, Şişli, Tepebaşı, Keçiören, Fatih, Ataşehir, Osmangazi, Üsküdar and Konyaaltı. District mayors or deputy mayors representing the administration of the mentioned districts were honored with an award ceremony held within the scope of the summit.
