The first launch event of our Integrated Good Governance in Municipalities Model project, in which we aim to make the twelve local good governance principles of the Council of Europe functional at every stage of municipal management processes through model development and implementation, has been completed!

At the Integrated Good Governance in Municipalities Launch held on 28 February 2022 with the cooperation of Argüden Governance Academy, Marmara Municipalities Union, Council of Europe, Sultanbeyli Municipality, Şişli Municipality, and the Netherlands Consulate General, Marmara Municipalities Union International Cooperation Expert Merve Ağca as moderator, Marmara Municipalities Union Secretary-General M. Cemil Arslan, our Chair of the Board Prof. Dr. Metin Çakmakçı, Mayor of Sultanbeyli Municipality Hüseyin Keskin, Mayor of Şişli Municipality Muammer Keskin, Chair of Democratic Governance Division of the Council of Europe Alina Tatarenko, Consul-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Istanbul Arjen Uijterlende, Academic Board Member from the Academy Dr. Inan Izci participated as a speaker. 139 participants attended this event, where the creation of the model in the Integrated Municipal Governance Model project, its contributions to local governments and expected outputs were mentioned.
