While companies continue their sustainability-oriented work for a better world, Argüden Governance Academy has developed the Sustainability Governance Scorecard©, which defines the activities of Global Sustainability Leaders. The Scorecard Model©, which is shown as a good example by the G20 Tokyo, is aimed to mobilize impact-oriented stakeholders and increase the effectiveness of implementation. The Academy designed the SGScorecard to motivate businesses to act for a more sustainable future by highlighting good practices in sustainability governance and providing measurement tools for long-term value creation. The governance quality of companies' sustainability efforts is evaluated under the criteria of providing guidance, implementation, board oversight, and continuous learning throughout the cycle.
197 companies representing 10 sectors from Germany, America, China, South Africa, India, England, and Türkiye were included in the research in which five different groupings were made. Zorlu Energy, which is one of the 14 companies that entered the research from Türkiye by adapting sustainability to its corporate culture with its Smart Life 2030 vision, took its place among the Global Sustainability Leaders this year, raising its rank one step further compared to the previous year. Zorlu Energy, one of the companies on the list, aims to zero its emissions from its operations by 2030 in the fight against the climate crisis, to reach net-zero emissions in the entire value chain by 2040, and to ensure that more than 20 percent of its turnover comes from innovative business models and work to create sustainable value.
