Good governance is critical to advancing countries’ economic and social development and ensuring that resources are managed fairly and sustainably. Transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance mechanisms strengthen both the effectiveness of governments and global systems and the trust placed in them.
In this episode of Talks with Global Governance Leaders, moderated by Gizem Argüden Oskay, Board Member of the Argüden Governance Academy, we explore different dimensions of governance with Dr. Daniel Kaufmann, who developed the Worldwide Governance Indicators project at the World Bank and is the founder of the Natural Resource Governance Institute.
Kaufmann discusses why good governance is fundamental to development, the risks and challenges associated with public administration and natural resource management, and the importance of addressing these issues through effective governance.
