With the launch of the 2025 applications for the European Label of Governance Excellence, our training session was held with the participation of representatives from municipalities planning to apply. During the session, the updated European Label of Governance Excellence Framework, revised by the Council of Europe at the end of 2024, was introduced.
The benchmark of the ELoGE, consisting of 12 principles of good governance and 72 indicators, was presented along with the updates made to the survey forms. At the end of the meeting, participants had the opportunity to receive detailed information about the process during a question-and-answer session. The event also included briefings on the steps of the application process and the benefits of the Label for local governments.
Information sessions on the European Label of Governance Excellence will continue. In addition to an online session, further in-person trainings are planned to be hosted by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye in Ankara.
The training brought together municipal executives, strategy teams, governance experts, civil society representatives, and professionals interested in local governance.
