Argüden Governance Academy Founder and ARGE Consulting Chairman of the Board Dr. Yılmaz Argüden said, "The management quality of the public sector significantly affects our quality of life. Good governance brings quality life with it. Studies on this subject increase its importance day by day." "Good governance is the foundation of development. Sophistication is the level of trust in institutions." said Dr. Argüden continued: "We carry out our activities under the umbrella of Boğaziçi University Foundation. The Academy carries out activities to increase the quality of governance in public, non-governmental and private sector organizations. For this purpose, joint training and research projects with academic institutions, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations related to the subject. We're developing."
Pointing out that the public sector constitutes at least 30 percent of the economy when considered on the basis of world countries, and that it also has a significant impact on the rest of the economy due to its regulatory role, Argüden continued as follows: "The efficient functioning of a structure that has such a decisive role, It is of great importance for social life. Therefore, the quality of management of the public sector significantly affects our quality of life." said. Argüden said, "The three conditions of good governance in the public sector are to enable data-based decision mechanisms in the regulation and supervision activities of the state, to benefit from the competitive market structure in the areas it serves, and to create mechanisms that listen to the voice of the citizens in determining priorities by adopting a participatory understanding."
Giving information about the conference held in Ankara by Argüden Governance Academy with the contributions of OECD and World Bank, Dr. Yılmaz Argüden said, "At this conference, good governance practices and policies in the public sector were discussed. We initiated a "Good Governance Certificate Program in Public" that will last until the end of the year, in cooperation with various public experts associations and with the participation of Boğaziçi University Faculty Members. We started the "Good Governance Certificate Program in the Public". In this context, we organized a conference called "Good Governance-Practices and Policies in the Public" in Ankara. Young experts in their fields showed great interest in this conference. The honored guest of the conference was Nick Malyshev, Head of the OECD Regulatory Policies Department.
